I would love to see more of the ship like the virtual tour thing for the Freedom, I wonder if that will happen. I am talking to my family about booking for May 2010 this ship looks like it will be fun to check out at least once.
Were you at least able to watch the video? It is on the home page of RCCL, it was down for 1 night because they updated it with the announcement of the 2 new neighborhoods. The also have an e-brochure. They will tell us the next and final neighborhoods sometime in the future.
Back in the 60's a magazine called "Popular Science" or some such predicted that by the year 2000 they would be building floating cities. When the first megaships were built it certainly seemed as if it were the case. But now, with Oasis, a super megaship ,that prediction of nearly 50 years ago has come true! What next??
contacted rccl on looking to book the oasis and to be honest i think we are going to wait prices are stupid, i know its the new ship but we got a back to back cruise on the freedom for the same price as 1 week on the oasis.
Looks amazing but ask yourself is it worth it.
chris 2486-Your point is well taken, you are observing Inaugural season cruise pricing, the prices are sure to rise during the year. At this time prices are about as low as they will be for the Oasis. You can get a little leverage if you vary your travel season. I have 7 cruises booked over the next 2 years and I don't want to give any one of them up , much as I'd love to cruise on the Oasis-It is not critical-As you say there are plenty of other cruising options!
