Ok- See Pass is your online credit , right? Last cruise we held on to our kids cards b/c they didn't have a soda stamp and we didn't want them accidentally putting charges on our account. This time they are older and I anticipate they may want a stamp.. and they will be more independent around the ship....but the one child is not very responsible.//,,,, I mean this is like hooked to my credit card. If he loses it I will be a wreck...so it seems a catch 22 if he has to have his soda stamp attached to it. Is there any other way for them to have a stamp?

I think things have changed via the "soda sticker". In our booklet, RCCL shows a refillable mug for soda purchases. You pay for the mug once, can refill it with juice and soda all cruise.

It doesn't say what happens if you lose the mug, however.

I would hop the kids wouldn't have to drag that mug everywhere.

Also is there anyway to put a block on the kids sea pass cards? If not I'll have to tell them no soda. I just can't risk 2 teens with an active credit card in hand.(I know you don't activate it till the end but I still don't want to ruin my vacation worrying about someone else using my seapass card.

The mug is just a bonus they give you with the soda stamp. You don't need it to get soda, and although most bars will simply fill the mug when it is presented they technically should also be checking for the stamp on the person's cruise card.

We just got back from AOS and my kids are 20 and 23 and had their own credit cards attached to their sea pass, but if I remember from our last cruise, 5 years ago so it may have changed, I didn't have our credit card attached to their sea passes, just ours. If they have the soda stamp they can get all the soda they want, but have to be with you to get anything else.

We go every year on a cruise with our kids.I give them there sign and sail cards but you can have it where it is for ID and soda only no credit with it. Just when you get to the counter at the port and are doing your check-in tell them no credit on the kids cards. That way no charges or worries if they go shopping or loose it!
