I plan on taking an Alaskan cruise next summer with 6 and 10 year old boys. Is this a good trip for children? We have cruised on Disney twice and they have enjoyed it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It will be a totally different experience and the two shouldn't be compared. An Alaska cruise is for the destination, where Disney is more about the ship. The Alaska trip could be very educational for the boys. They could pan for gold, see whales, glaciers, see totem poles, a logging demonstration.
