Well folks, I booked my next cruise. We will be going on the inaugural voyage of the all-new Freedom Of The Seas! It wasn't cheap, and I had to stretch things to justify it in my mind, but I'm doing it. So on June 4th we will be heading out from Dodge Island along with a capacity crowd .
I am looking forward to doing periodic live updates from the ship. It is still several months away though, so now the anticipation begins!
This certainly goes against my recent interest in smaller ships! But as you said, the innovations are what piqued my interest. Plus the inaugural cruise coincided with my big break of off-days.
Hi everyone. Hey Dave 56, we will be sailing also on the inaugural Freedom cruise. I too am very excited. We are taking our 16 yr old son, he should be well entertained. By the way, the excursions are available to book with RCCL, just in case you didn't know yet. I booked mine early last week, and one of them was already "not available". The cruise is very expensive, so we got a inside cabin, and are splurging on our excursions. I am sure this topic will pop up later down the road. I would love to meet you, over a soda/drink, and chat cruising. I could use some good pointers, from an seasoned cruiser. I can't wait. Lil' Lori
