I am wondering if I should skip the sit down dinner on some nights and go to the Windjammer instead. Any advice would be appreciated.

How about checking the posted menu in the dining room(s) each day and using the Windjammer on days when you don't see anything you'd like? Remember- you're on a cruise and you can dine wherever (and in most cases-whenever) you'd like!

That is what we do - especially on days when we just don't feel like the dining room routine. If the menu doesn't seem appealing we will head to the Windjammer for dinner. On a 7 night cruise it seems we do this once or twice but not more than that. The dinner menu will be posted in the afternoon after lunch closes so you have time to decide.

We were on a 7 day last october. we went the first couple nights to the dining room, but our table mates, were not friendly. we ended up meeting people at the champagne bar and had dinner with them at chops one night and we all had dinner at the windjammer from there on. we didnt have to dress up and could eat when we wanted.

we are booked for a 12 night med. cruise in july and are not taking any dress clothes for dinner. if i was with a big group, i would go to the dining room. but with 2 peeps, its a big risk of who your going to be put with.

What I did last time was we had the late seating dinner at 8:30 so we would eat a smaller snacky dinner about 4 in the windjammer then eat dinner in the dining room at 8:30. At 4 we usually ate light, sushi was a hit with us and salads around that time.

Actually, I like eating dinner in the Windjammer. Try it, you made be pleasantly surprised.

Yes I like the windjammer too some nights just for a change, or if you dont feel like dressing up for a longer meal.

After all the food still comes from the same kitchen!
