Hey Dave, congratulations to you on your new gig! Try to minimize the computer time and enjoy the trip. Oh yes, the weather is terrible but I hear it should be hopefully clearing by the time you get downeast. ENJOY !

Since I have to keep in touch for Paul Motter at CruiseMates while on the cruise, I figured I'd drop by for a quick note.

Fairly good embarkation. First cruise of the season for RCI in Baltimore so they had some bumps in the road. But we arrived at 11am and were aboard by noon.

Grandeur is looking in great shape. We have a JS (8086) port stern.

Food has been really better than I was expecting. Very nice prime rib last night for dinner. Quite tender and cooked just right. Table near the kitchen door worried me but it is actually very quiet and isolated from the din of the dining room. Very efficient waiter.

Seas were predicted to be 7-9 feet today but we are riding on glass somewhere off the coast of NJ/NY.

Very pleasant cruise so far.

Thanks for checking in Dave! Glad to hear the embarkation went rather smoothly. You sure know how to time cruises, right after you left a heat wave hit the southland. Did ya have to mention the Prime Rib? I had McDonald's for supper. Hope y'all have a great cruise!

Dave, perhaps RCI will treat you to some REAL Maine "lobstah". Does your itinery bring you in to the Portland cruise terminal? If so, there is lots to see nearby, like several great lighthouses, rock bound coast, great seafood and shopping (LL Bean not far). Hope the weather turns as it has been a little gray with showers on and off. Not enough to dampen ones spririt, especially when on vacation. ENJOY.
