Our cabin on the Explorer of the Seas, is aft. We have not had a cabin this far back before. Can anyone share their thoughts on this location?
Thank you for your input. I always get great feedback on this site!

Hi blotter, I was hoping Dave, Queen or Sonny would answer you, but they haven't. I think Sonny's on a back to back right now, though. I haven't done the aft cabins, but have read mixed comments from others. Most love it because the balcony is larger and the view is good. Some don't because the walls are higher. I have heard some complaints about vibration, too. Personally, I think those cabins would be awesome.

I wish I could give you a first-hand report, but have not stayed in those. Maybe one of our experts will reply.

Thanks Penny for your input. We switched to that catagory because the price was so good. I am sure it will be fine...after all, there is no such thing as a bad cruise!!!

Oh, I thought you were talking about an aft-facing cabin. Your cabin is no different than most others along the side of the ship. It's location offers nothing more or nothing less than one in the same relative location in the forward part of the ship. They are all perfectly fine cabins.

Sorry, I assumed (silly me) blotter was asking about aft-facing cabins as Dave said, and I have never had one, but I am sure thinking about it. With Mother centrally located handicap access, but Hubby and I would love the extra room !

I assumed the same, too. I would love to try one of the aft facing cabins, just to see the view. I'm sure that you'll have a wonderful time, blotter, no matter where you would be. I just have a feeling, you'd enjoy being on board, no matter where the room. Me, too!
