Can anyone suggest something nice and personal that I could get for my wife when we sail on AOS on 4/6/09? I have no imagination on these sorts of things.

At some point you're going to have to think for yourself—if it's a personal thing you want to get her, you should know what your wife likes. Isn't taking her on a cruse something nice? Remember, it's not the gift, but the thought that counts.

P.S. If you have a gift for her, you might consider taking her to Portofino's and give it to her.

There's loads of jewelry on board. Don't know if she'd like this, but a nice portrait on formal night would be nice.

Dave, how nice that you want to surprise your wife with something onboard! Depending on how much you want to spend, choices range from $10 for chocolate covered strawberries to $700+ for one of Royal Caribbean's "Romance Packages" that include champagne, canapes each evening, breakfast in bed one morning, spa services, etc.

Take a look at some choices here to get an idea of the kinds of things you can do, from culinary treats to wine to those Romance Packages. Maybe something will strike your fancy.

Well if you are on the AOS there is a great place for dinning on ARUBA "The Pelican brief" I think is the name great food over an ocean view, for jewelry wait for st. Martin, there is a diamond international near the port, and I mean literally near walking distance they give a great price and also RCCL recommend it so it is safer to buy there because the insurance, there is a little kind of diamond that is way cheaper on tyhe islands "TANZANITE" that's a good gift
