Transatlantic Cruises

It appears that there are a number of transatlantic repositioning Cruises going west in April and coming back east in Oct/Nov. As the prices are very reasonable I assume that these are not the most sought after cruises-perhaps because of the 5/6 at sea.I am going on Legend of the Seas on April 10th to Lisbon- it will be my first transatlantic. I am thinking of the November Brilliance of the Seas 11 day cruise back to Miami from Barcelona in November.
Has anyone been on transatlatic at this time of year? What kind of weather can one expect in April and then in November? (clothes to take etc) Any other tips for transatlantic Cruises would be appreciated.

Our first cruise was a transatlantic in Nov 2003, on the Splendour, Lisbon to Galviston. The weather wasn't the greatest in the world but it was on the whole good. I'd say take some warmer clothes for walking on deck at night.
One thing I would say is be perpared for a change in the itinerary. Ours changed at the very last second due to rough seas, but you just go with the flow, no pun intended ;-)
