I cruised last year and saw people carry soda on the ship.
I just wanted to conform if anyone know the official rule on that ?

The "official" rules only prohibit alcohol.. doesn't mention soda. We carried some bottled water onboard last week and had no problem. You can buy unlimited soda & juice for $6 a day -- you have to purchase it on the first day for the entire length of the cruise, though. If you drink alot of it, that may be the easiest way to go. You get a large insulated cup & can get it filled at any of the bars & they also stamp your passcard to use in case you don't have the cup. Seems like all the kids had cups!!

Of course you are allowed. But no strong liquor or beer.

I have read other responses to the alcohol question and most have brought it on board. So in response to the hard liquor or beer. Should I assume bottles of wine are ok?

I was on the Explorer of the Seas last year and we were allowed to bring soda on board. The tour guide in San Juan actually stopped at a store on the way back so we could buy some. They were also letting people bring liquor onboard that was purchased at the ports. There was a small fee (I think $10 a bottle) to take it to your cabin, or you can leave it with the staff until the end of the cruise.
