Bringing Irons onboard?

Is it ok to bring your iron from home on board in your luggage?

For safety reasons you are not allowed have an iron in your cabin. A portable steam wand works great. Also, you can put items that are prone to wrinkle in plastic bags when you pack them. A wrinkle release spray works too.

I understand its for safety reasons which is fine, but will they actually go thru your luggage and take it out? Has anyone else evr brought one on board from home? Where would I find this stuff to put in my suitcase for evrything not to wrinkle?

Most of the steamers I have founds have a heating palte as well. Do you think they won't allow these either?

seriously, I would not bring an iron. It is a major fire hazard. The cruise lines have set up their safety rules in order to minimze hazards not to annoy their passengers.

A portable steamer is an excellent and safe alternative.
