I'm scratching my head over the whole new commercial theme RCI just rolled out. "Nation Of Why Not?" Huh??? Another strange decision by RCI management. I can't see it lasting long. If I were in charge I couldn't see the advertising management team's tenure lasting long either.
Why not? Why not fix your lousy website so it updates C&A status in a timely manner? Why not stop testing extra-fee steak in the main dining room? Why not stop playing games with stock holders and their cruise credit? Why not be more reasonable with the fuel surcharges and just stop them all right now? Oil is down to around $50 or so. That's 100% lower than the price was when you started the surcharge. Don't pick words like "why not" for a theme.
Hey - this is my 8888th message. Why can't I get a poker hand like that?
Dave—don't get me started! I'm starting to believe that my loyalty has come to naught. I wonder if Princess runs a tighter ship. Maybe I should try them. Why not?
We've only done a few cruises on Princess but they were very nice. Nothing negative to say about Princess and a lot of good things to recall. The good experience starts with the civilized life boat drill. Why not?
I hate to be negative about RCI, especially since I just went out of my way to reach Diamond level. I'm looking forward to the Mariner next June. It just seems they are making a lot of decisions lately which seem really short-sighted if not plain stupid.
I agree....I'm getting pretty frustrated with all the stuff....by the way Dave ...great post. We have had wonderful cruises with Royal and we really haven't had any complaints BUT NOW....
I was NOT very smart by booking 3 Next Cruises on Mariner. Now, I have 3 cruises to book before Dec 31 or lose the ability to use my Diamond and my stockholder discount with the NC. Sometimes my bad decisions scare me....LOL What is really going to upset me is if I get all these booked up and then they do away with their latest take away. Live and learn.
