Bruce, I've used the bags from the cleaners as well as tissue paper in between layers. I think Sonny uses the big bags from Hefty, but not positive. I can't remember if he's on a cruise now or not, with all of the ones he has scheduled
My tux and Esther's dresses are in the cleaner bags. The rest we put in the large Hefty bags. The plastic allows clothes to move without much wrinkling.
Ahh, yes we have kept stuff in the cleaner bags too. I also have some suit bags that zip up that keeps the stuff from wrinkling as well. When you say Hefty bags, I assume it is something besides the garbage bags? Our luggage has the built in suiter that is good for shorter cruises and we are able to leave the suiter luggage at home and that does a good job of keeping things unwrinkled as well.

The biggest we use are the 12 gallon size. They are really heavy duty--we've been using the same bags for years. The 2 1/2 gallon bags are also great for shoes. We'll be stuffing them again next week.
Lucky you, Sonny Hope you and Esther have a marvelous time!!! I'm going to book a Mexican Riviera for next December, just for something different. It'll be on Princess, though
I have been able to reuse the bags for many trips. I think I bought the 10 gallon size at first. Man, it held everything and even had a handle on it.
Thank you, Penny. RCCL won't be doing any Mexican Riviera cruise after Jan 9, 2011 - so I guess I won't be doing another one. You'll love the change from the run of the mill Caribbean itinerary.
