No irons? What about travel sized ones? I can't see them being any more dangerous than say a ladies straightening iron or curling iron or hot rollers...these things can get pretty hot too.
Sorry saublewwater - not even travel irons. But if you want to use your curling iron you can. Probably the straightening iron would work better though. Like Sonny said portable steamers work well.

Not sure how they would know if you have an iron in your checked baggage unless of course they look through your bags. But if they are not allowed then I'll purchase one of these and put in my carry on.
Hi saublewater, they do scan luggage, but a lot of things get through that probably shouldn't. I wouldn't worry about wrinkles: 1. You are on vacation, 2. Most everyone will have wrinkles, 3. If you hang your items in the bathroom, the steam will usually take them out. There is also a laundry service on board which can iron for you. On Princess ships there is an on board self-service laundry. On the Royal ships I've been on I haven't seen one, but then again, I haven't looked. I tried your link and it took me to Canadian Tires, so I don't know what you were looking at. Like SonnyV said, if you take a travel steamer, you'll be fine. Best wishes.
We tried the Downy last cruise. We thought it was good enough. Others think the stuff is useless. I guess it depends on one's tolerance level for wrinkles. I don't worry too much about them unless it is "really" bad.
I pack some of our clothing in plastic, such as dry cleaning bags, before folding them. It has worked most of the time. Occasionally, I will send something to be pressed during the cruise. I haven't been on Royal Caribbean in awhile, yet prices on the lines I have traveled have been very reasonable.
Try the portable steamer, I took SONNY's suggestion and brought one on my last cruise,and it worked great,it took me about an hour to work on all formal clothes for the family of six , and other clothes I just let the Downy do it wonders.
