i guess the answer can only be found on the ship you are on.(daily compass)make sure you know the answer to this because it could cause to miss your ship. they do't wait on you!
our cruise is getting closer. the weather forecast here in northern ky(CINCY) for this week calls for 4-6 inches of snow with up to 1 inch of freezing rain on top or if the front says south up to 14 inches of snow! can you say get me to the ship soon!!
I believe it's ship time. which would be Miami time. So if the port is an hour difference you have to take that into consideration. The ship will sail out on ship's time.
On our recent cruise (Legend OS Western Caribbean) we changed from EST to CST one night when going from Grand Cayman to Costa Maya. Then when headed back to Tampa 3 days later we changed back to EST at noon on our last day at sea.
On Explorer this past December we left our cell phones on and the ships internal wireless system kept us on ship time while onboard. In the past we always turned them off until we got to a port, but the cabin steward told us about the time thing. It was nice since we don't wear watches.
I guess if all else fails, and you really want to know the time zone you are in, you can either call the Purser's desk, or walk by there, as they WILL have the correct time for the zone they are in.
