After booking our upcoming May cruise back in October, I haven't seen the price change one bit. Today I signed on AND remembered to check for state residency discounts. Our sailing and our cabin type dropped $150 each. Needless to say I was on the phone to my TA in seconds to make sure we got the adjustment before they changed their minds.

That's more money for more fun on the trip.

Always great to find that the cruise is going to cost a little less than when it was booked.

I have a question; how does one go about to see if there may be any savings if the original room catagory that we booked is no longer listed? I would guess that those cabins are sold out in that particular catagory. Any suggestions?

That's a great question, I guess calling them. Wonder if they would tell you the truth. I just thought of something, kind of sneaky, you could call pretending to be interested in booking the same catagory for the same cruise and see what they had to say.

I just go to the RCCL website and start a booking. Make sure you click on the age/military/state information applicable to you. When I did thatlast week, it happened to show that there was a state residency price that applied to me. Then I just called my TA and had her adjust it.

If the cabin category you have booked is sold out, I doubt they would discount. But that's just my guess.
