Royal Refund

SO i booked my RCI Cruise the 1st of feb. I paid a a great price and was VERY happy it is a 4 night 5 day small adventure. My Best firend wanted to go with us so she booked today and told me that she booked the SAME room and every thing for 180$ less than what i paid! i called RCCI and they said well i see what you are talking about and your money has been refunded to your account and should be back in your credit card shortly!!!IM SO EXCITED i not have 180$ more to spend on my adventure yeah royal!!

Thank you for your joyful post! I shows us that Royal Caribbean is a great company to do business with. Some times people post negative comments about cruise lines—it's refreshing to read positive posts.

RCI *is* quite good about adjusting fares. Some won't do it at all, and some won't do it after final payment.

It never hurts to ask. I was amazed last year when Carnival issued two OBC's past the final payment date. They never did that before. I'm glad to hear some positive things about the cruise lines as well.

Hi, I noticed the fare changed for our cruise.
We booked through a travel agent...do I need to call her to get it adjusted, or can I call RCI directly.
My travel agents business is closed on weekends! ah!

If an agent has your booking you have to go through them. RCI won't talk to you about it.

We have had $1080.00 refunded to us so far for our IOS cruise at the end of the month. We booked directly through RC. My husband left a message with the guy he booked with. The guy called back and said "Good job Mr. Henson!"

I was just looking at RCI website and the price for our cruise has dropped almost $100 dollars...but there is an asterisk next to the price and it says, among other things, that it is for new reservations only.
So, I'm not sure if we're out of luck or not.
I'll have to call my travel agent tomorrow.

I do the same thing as you did and check their website. In my case Carnival though.

Usually, they will adjust the price. Sometimes the special sales will be limited to new bookings only, and they are more strict about it. If it is not a special sale and the rate drops within the same type of rate you booked they will issue a credit.

I would give it a try and ask them to see. I'm curious as to how strict they are with the new booking restriction.

Hey, well I called the travel agent this morning, and yup! we each got a $90 refund.
Here's hoping the price continues to drop!
