IN APRIL 08 I WILL BE TAKING A EASTERN CRUISE WITH MY WIFE. I AM HANDICAPPED AND USE MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION WHICH WILL GREATLY HELP ON THE SHIP. WHAT ADVICE CAN I GET IF I WANT TO GET OFF? WHERE CAN I GO AND WHAT CAN I DO? ANY HELP OR INFO IS NEEDED !THANKS

You'll be able to go almost anywhere everyone else goes. The staff will assist anyone that needs help. We were on the Liberty of the Seas a couple of weeks ago and there were several people in motorized wheelchairs. When in Labadee, the staff was putting those who wanted to, in wheelchairs with balloon tires so they could get around in the sand. Hope this helps.

Yes indeed, I have always been impressed with the service RCI provides for handicapped passengers. As Sonny notes, they even have special chairs for getting through the sand. Many ships also have a rig to allow those in chairs to get into a swimming pool. About the only limitations would be for those tours which require climbing, etc., and they will have a caution about whether the tour is suitable for people in chairs.

A wheel chair, on or off the ship isn't much of a problem. Only time would be the stairs on an excursion...and most of the tours indicate any difficulties....Just go and have a wonderful cruise....The crew will take very good care of you...:-)
