Shelby,
We had the same concerns when we cruised last year. As soon as we got on the ship my daughter and son went to the room across the hall from us. We switched keys and then went to the concierge and said we lost one. This way we did not have to worry about changing keys all the time. The steward will not say a word and you will all have a great time. We are doing the same thing next month.

We just had our TA look into this, and he switched the room assignments last Friday.
Hubby and I together, daughter and son together.

Not sure if it was easier because son is 18 now, or what. But it was done without too much fuss over the phone--and before we get there.
