my boyfriend and i are taking our first cruise in october on majsty of the seas.this may seem like a silly question but i was just wondering, once you're off the ship in one of the ports can you board the ship and then get off again? we will be in nassau for about 16 hours and that seems like a long time.what if we want to go swimming or snorkeling and then get back on the ship and shower before we do any sightseeing? i'm just a little confused.

Sure can. My wife likes to shop downtown then come back to the ship for lunch. We drop off all the trinkets she purchased then head to atlantis.

Yes, you can get on and off the ship as many times as you want. We usually go back to the ship for lunch then go back out again.

Yeah, I always get back on for the free lunch at the Windjammer on my first cruise (I'm Mr. El Cheapo) and then head back out for some more activities.

Some ports you have to tender to the island so that can be time consuming but you can go back and forth from the ship and island. In Coco Cay, Bahamas RCCL private island they actually serve you lunch on the island

When we were on Majesty, a lot of the people who ate at the early setting went back to Nassau after eating. The gift shops are closed, but the bars and beaches are open.

Please make sure to return to the ship at least 30 min. before it set sail again or you may have a chance to take a good picture of the ship from the shore!

jenny25- we are going to coco cay on rccl..do you recommend anything special to do there..we are first time cruisers, and a little nervous..we are going to the western caribbean..key west, coco cay, and cozumel..any ideas ?

coco cay will be the only port where you'll be using tender service.
