well this is my first cruise, and didn't talk to others, so i am not sure if i got a good deal. with airfare for 2 was a little over 1K. you and your wife enjoyed the cruise. what do you think we should do in Nassau? should we just wait til we get there and do activities on our own. money is tight. can we find to do the same things without paying as much in the excursions?
A little over 1k, we paid appx 1800.00 for 5 nights, is this a 3 day cruise or 4 day cruise?.
we flew out of st louis. Excursions in nassau we did not do any we pairsailed in coco cay that was great , nassau is a little dirty. We mainly stayed on the ship all day we we were in nassau. well let me know when you get back....enjoy Ryan
This is my first time on any cruise and I cant wait. I am leaveing on the 15th of september and i read a lot about it. The pools on this, I heard it had sea water. Does it have internet cafe REPLY.............................
The Atlantis excursion was worth the money. It includes use of the beach (w/chairs & towels), the many aquariums, and lunch. A boat takes you to and from the resort. There is a little walking of several blocks. I do agree that Nassua is a little dirty, but Atlantis is nice. Just remember do not take anything from the people trying to hand you "free stuff" they expect to paid for it.
If you want to save money, you can walk from the cruise ship dock into the town in Nassau. It's several blocks, but if you don't have limited mobility it should be fine. It might be hot - depends if you are used to warm humid weather. You can "window shop" in the straw market or along the main street. That will give you a bit of a flavor of the place. Expect people to accost you and want to sell you something; if you are not interested, just say a polite but firm "no thanks" and keep going. Remember many of the folks who live in the Caribbean are quite poor, and to them, we are ALL rich (whether we actually are or not), so if you can drop a few dollars into their economy, so much the better. US dollars are accepted there, but expect to get change in Bahamian dollars if you buy something.
