I see RCCL has a Freedom Ship and so does Carnival and soon they will both have Liberty ships is this a competitive thing or just coincidence? I haven't cruised either cruise line but half of my family prefers Carnival and the other RCCL I just wonder which one is the better......HELP!!!!

Hi Spritfilled.
Choosing cruise-company really depends on what your are looking for.
Carnival is often a choise for younger people.

Please note; CCL's "Carnival Freedom" and RCCL's "Freedom Of The Seas" is two really dissimilar ships, so don't let their names making confusion.

Maybe checking out their website and reading some cruise-reviews at www.cruisereviews.com will tell you a lot about the different ships and cruise-company's.

Good Luck Choosing

RCCL's Freedom on the seas is the biggest ship afloat. In comparison to Carnival's Freedom, it's 50,000 ton heavier, 160 feet longer, and about 50 feet wider. I think if you took a poll, you would find more people would prefer RCCL to Carnival. Both are great cruise lines. My favorite ships are RCCL's "Voyager" class ships.

Royal Caribbeans Voyager Class ships are in my opinion, the best in the world. There is simply so much to do that you could never get bored. Going on Freedom next year.

Spritfilled,

the Carnival and RCI ships are far from being identical, and yet it is no coincidence that the cruise lines have chosen those particular names: the cruise lines simply jumped onto the American patriotism train. Call it "true patriotism", call it a marketing move, whatever you like.
