We had customers (who are very frequent cruisers on many cruiseships) sail on Oct. 31, 2002.
They say that many passengers were unhappy with the quality of the food that the chef prepared. They also say the entertainment was not RCL's typical, high class entertainment.
Has anyone been on the Radiance before or after this date? If so, I would appreciate your feedback.

I was on the Radiance of the Seas Dec. 14-21 and the food was horrible. I guarantee my steak was boiled. Chops and Portofino are well worth the extra $20 per person. I have had better food at a VA hospital cafeteria! Honestly.

I was on the radiance 10/18, and the food in the dining room was good...the windjammer was just OK, and room service was a joke.

I had been on the Explorer in September and the food was superb in all areas of the ship.

My impression of RCI is that food quality can vary widely from ship to ship and from exec. chef to exec. chef... Those contracts usually run about 6 months, so radiance might have just had a bad patch...

Also their vendors in different parts of the country can make a difference...

We were on Radiance Jan 11/03 sailing and loved it. Found dining room food and service excellent in quality and variety. Couldn't understand why anyone would pay extra for Chops and Portofinos.
