Early Departure in Venice

Anyone know the procedure for getting an early departure in Venice? Our itinerary says departure from the boat is 7:30 a.m. Our flight leaves at 10:05 a.m. so we need to be one of the first off the ship and get to the airport to check in. I saw in an earlier post where Dave said that we can tell them we need express departure. Should we secure our own transfer to the airport? I'm afraid of arranging one through RC and then setting on the transfer bus for the driver to decide to go as Sandy said in the post.

S. Sawyer,
you have to spend about half an hour per bus or taxi-cap from the Stazione Marittima (cruise port) to the airport:
The Piazzale Roma is just 20 minutes away by land taxi or airport bus. So if you ask for express outchecking at the counter, it would work.
