My wife usually tans in thong bikinis and other skimpy suits. Are these ok to wear poolside on the ship (Majesty)? What about on the beaches in the bahamas, Coco Cay and Key West? Thanks for any advise.

Welcome to Cruise-Chat.com. She will be comfortable in all of the situations you mention. Have a great cruise!

I have not ever noticed any "thong bikinis" on any of the ships I've been on. You will certainly see all shapes, sizes and ages and really you'll see people in bikinis that probably shouldn't be out in public with them...but then again, you'll never see these people again.
I would say that the beaches will be more peppered with skimpier suits (thong, sometimes topless; So to honestly answer your question, I think she'd feel more comfortable at the beach with that kind of suit.

She's wore them on Lake Michigan beaches, comfort is not the issue. I'm sure the bahamas wont be a problem, I just wondered if, on the ship, people would be offended.

You will encounter the same kind of people onboard that you would most likely find on a Michigan beach. There may be a person here and there that is offended (but then, as I see it - that is their problem) but overall, most passengers will not care.
