I will be sailing on the Liberty on August 16th from Miami. I am staying in a Grand Suite with concierge service. I think I read somewhere that the concierge could help arrange a private party.I am interested in hosting a cocktail party with open bar and some small appetizers for about two hours. I would invite about twenty five family members. Has anyone ever tried this and if so could you approximate the price you paid. I would also be interested in knowing what room on the ship you were given.
Thank you,
Alfred

I have been to a few private parties on the RCCL ships. They were always in a section of one lounge or another, or when the group of big enough they reserved the whole "Viking Crowne Lounge" for us--not sure about cost. I was a guest at the events. Sailed on a ship once with Bridge enthusiasts and they had reserved the card room for the week and it was posted by RCCL as private for them.

With hot and cold hors d'oeuvre and a bar, it is $32 per person/per hour. The venue depends on when you want to have it, and what is available. Thus, your party would run around $1600. Although this is more about wedding receptions, I'm sure the prices are the same for a "regular" cocktail party.

Hello Alfred,

You will have to wait until on board to make arrangements. The concierge will team up with the banquet coordinator to accommodate you if they can. You can make your request via email to the concierge a week before your sailing date if you want. Hope this helps…
