Drinks On Board

Does anyone know if you can buy a bottle on Board for your cabin. The small bottles are useless and expensive and we like to sit on the balcony with a Baileys and coffee late in the evening or a cocktail before we go down to Dinner. If you can't do you think it possible to put a couple of bottles in checked baggage!

If you buy liquor onboard they will hold it until the last day. If you take one small bottle to drink on your balcony it should be ok.

We were on Adventure of the Seas last year, and we bought a small bottle of gin and a small bottle of amaretto (which I like in coffee, lemonade and orange juice) in St. Thomas. I carried them back on board in my purse, and no one said anything. We also carried soda back on board in plain site. Someone told me that they will not take small bottles out of a woman's purse. . . The couple at our dinner table did the same thing, and no one said anything to them. We heard later that the cruise lines will not make you take something out of your purse.

I have bought liquor in RCCL duty free shops for consumption on board several times. They charge an $8 "corkage" fee on top of the posted price.
