That is what my travel agent says too...I just wonder if anyone has done this and feels its safe..also do they feed them lunch, is there a maximum time? I wanted to prebook some shore excursions but my 7 year old doesn't swim. I just hate to prepay and find out we can't do that particular one.
If you're doing shore excursions through the ship, it's not paid for until the day you get on the ship. You can "reserve" the excursions and it will be charged to your room account.
Anyone - please correct me if I'm wrong as I've sailed on most cruise lines except RCCL. NCL, Carnival & Princess all "reserved" excursions and charged the room account the day I boarded the ship...thanks.
My experience with RCCL is that any excursions I book prior to the cruise are charged as a seperate item to a credit card. And, depending on when they were reserved, they can show up on the credit card bill before the cruise.
Remind me not to pre-book with RCCL if they show up before you board. What happens if you don't make your cruise? That doesn't make for happy customers if they have to fight with a credit card company for an adjustment. Wow
We used the Adventure Ocean program and the kids preferred to stay on the boat. The staff took care of getting them lunch. It was great as was the whole kids program and the children loved it.
Thanks. You have reassured me much about the Adventure Program. I like the idea that I can prebook, and prepay for shore excursions. Lets me get some of the expenses out of the way now. I am sure it is covered my cruise insurance.
