Oasis Godmothers To Be Announced - All 7 Of Them

How did they pick these godmothers?

The naming ceremony will take place at sea off Ft. Lauderdale on Monday, November 30th.

For Oasis of the Seas we have decided to use seven godmothers because we have seven neighborhoods. Each godmother will start in her own area and then they will all convene at the AquaTheatre for the formal naming. All seven godmothers will cut a ribbon which will require seven complete cuts to release the bottle. Seven special scissors have been prepared and a special case holding the seven scissors was displayed during the flag ceremony. The case will be brought to Fort Lauderdale for the naming ceremony itself.

On Facebook they have gymnast Shawn Johnson listed, but not on twitter. Twitter suddenly has removed the Daisy Fuentes entry, so apparently somebody screwed up and posted out of order.

No idea how the selections were made.

No, and frankly RCI has screwed this up all day. They got out of order on Twitter, then they deleted tweets. They said they'd announce on Facebook too, but they didn't other than other Facebook members noting who had been picked. They also said they'd cover it on the oasisoftheseas website but that didn't happen either.

Sounds like it could have really been handled better.

And in the end, they didn't "assign" the godmothers to the seven neighborhoods, so I guess we'll never know. Read the press release here
