I just got off a 2 day sailing on the Freedom and all I can say is "WOW". For any of you who are planning to sail on her, you are in for a real treat. It is a beautiful ship and can best be described as a "Voyager Class ship on steroids" (actually have to give Tom Ogg credit for that description, but it certainly apropos).

Hi Nancy,
My wife and I will be her this weekend. Looking forward to seeing her in person. I'm planning to take a lot of pictures to share.

I am also scheduled to be on the Freedom this week-end, but RCCL has overbooked the Freedom for the 19th 2 day cruise by over 500 passengers, so they are dropping people from the manifest. I havent gotten the bad news as of yet so heres hopping I am still one going.

I haven't heard anything about over booking. My wife talked to Royal Caribbean a few days ago and they told her there are only 120 to130 passengers. Maybe they were talking about diamond plus passengers. I'll call today and check out the status.

sonnyv- How did you get the chance to sail this weekend? Is it because your a diamond-plus? or are you a travel agent?
How many cruises do I need to take to get those great perks?

Hi,
I got to cruise on the Freedom this weekend because My wife and I are Diamond plus members. You become Diamond plus after 24 completed cruises. After 10 cruises you become a Diamond member. There isn't much difference as far a perks go between Diamond and Diamond plus status. We haven't ever recieved any upgrades. So, except for this free two day cruise on the Freedom, what's the point of a Diamond plus status...

Maybe we ran into each other - I have to agree with your WOW!!! This is the most incredible ship I have ever been on. Two nights is NOT ENOUGH to really "do" the ship justice. My highlight was meeting/shaking the hand of Magic Johnson and sitting next to Jon Secada's parents during his show.

Just came off the one night Freedom this morning. Great ship! The new bedding is wonderful. The entertainment was great. The ship didn't feel crowded at all. With so many activities, lounges and shows. everyone is spread out.
