Ok we stayed in the grand suite on Navigator and loved it. It had a huge bathroom with tub and shower(that actually seemed more like something from home than a ship. Double sinks and plenty of room for 5-6 people to walk around. We are looking to book on possible Independence this fall but I think we will have to go with the Jr suite. I can see the size difference for the room but see no pics of the bathrooms and no reviews for this ship yet. Anyone what the bathrooms are like. We really did not like the shower only bathrooms that you can pee, bathe, and brush your teeth standing in the same place. Thanks

Hi Shelby,
I sailed with family on the Libety of the Seas last December and would presume that all Freedom class ships are similarly designed. My wife and I shared a Junior Suite overlooking the stern of the ship on deck 10 and savored the views; while my parents enjoyed their Grand Suite amidships. You're absolutely right about the Jetson's shower in the Jr. Suite although they're tight enough quarters that I wouldn't recommend urinating in one.

So the Jr suite does have the little bathroom? SHower only or tub and shower?

I think you'll find the cabins on the Voyager and Freedom class ships are almost the same except for wider balconies on the Freedom class. My wife enjoyed a grand suite on the Navigator in April. Last year we had a junior suite on the Mariner and Explorer. A junior suite bathroom is smaller than a grand suite, but is does have a tub...

reality check for cruise addicts: my vacation is almost a year away. I would pee in a soup can and shower in the hallway if it meant I could go an extra time. Reviews pertaining to rooms/bathrooms are all relative to how desperate you are to get on board!

I feel the same way, but hubby likes a nice room. He would stay in the room the whole time if he could get away with it. He just wants the time to relax and get away- from everything. Having stayed in both a carnival interior and a RC Grand suite the differences are ASTOUNDING> it is hard to go back.

ha ha! I do understand what Shelby means though, our first cruise was an interior on deck 3, second was a deck 5 ocean view, third and everyone subsequent to that has been a balcony. I am afraid to try a suite and have that become the yardstick all future accommodations must be measured. I do like to peek in the doors when they are being cleaned and imagine having so much room! We are looking at doing an interior to get a "short, cheap" get away before the next time out and I know I could go back if it meant fitting in one more cruise this year!

Laurie, are you trying to get to diamond status before they change the required cruises to make that level? You're close!
