I'm not a big ice cream eater, in fact I don't think I've ever used the soft-serve machines on any ship. I may have ice cream in the dining room for dessert once or twice on a cruise, but that is it. I did make a point of getting some on Celebrity cruises because (at least at the time) they made it aboard the ship and it was really good.
JimC,
I hope you found the icecream. On a different note, I tried to keept the craps table warm for you, but I would have needed a heck of alot more money. Everytime I went to play the table got very cold almost frozen. I hope you have better luck than I did. My brother had better luck on the Caribbean stud game. Good luck.

It seem to me that on the Voyager the soft ice cream wasn't available 24-7...but of course you can buy the Ben and Jerry's whenever you have the need.....Johnny Rocket's will cost you for the malts on top of the cover charge...but what the heck...you will be on vacation....Have a Chocolate malt with the double Cheeseburger...and chili fries....yummmmy
Better do Johnny Rockets on a port day. I tried to go on a sea day and it was packed with a long line waiting. I let both of our free cover charge coupons go to waste. I guess I'll have to try it next time.
Soft serve ice cream is where Sonny said. It is not open at all hours, but who needs ice cream like that. I gained 6-7 lbs last week on my cruise. They would have to roll me out if I ate any more.
Hey goin' cruisin' I tried to check my girl on the board at the skating ring only to get a knee to the groin. She had stopped and turned to face me.

We're booked for the Mariner next year and my younger brother is hoping for the same ice cream situation we had on the Majesty in April! By the pool area, they had two soft serve machines serving till about 6pm I believe. In addition, Johnny Rockets served shakes/malts for an additional charge and a specialty ice cream shop (I forget the name, but it was similar to a ColdStone Creamery if you are familiar) was also offered (for an additional charge) up by the shopping area. We only tried it once, but I know that ice cream shop was open till around midnight.
Well, my daughter had enough soft serve to keep her happy. Yes, they are not open 24/7, but they are running enough of the time that it didn't seem to be a big deal. She really doesn't need to have so much ice cream, so it helped regulate the amount she had.
On Carnival, they seem to have it available all the time. So that is what she was used to.
But, you can always pay to have ice cream at Ben and Jerry's or a shake at Johnny Rocket's if you must. But if you need that much ice cream you should be cruising on a DQ.
