Kids' "cruise camp"

Hi - we are thinking of going on the Voyager of the Seas out of Galveston in 2008 and taking our 2 children: ages 4 & 6. Has anyone done the kids' cruise camp (ie: aquanauts, explorers, etc)? If so, what was the cost and was it well worth it? Any information would be great! Thanks.

I have a 6 and an almost 4 year old, and we are going on the Mariner in a couple weeks. I will report back. But from what I have read and heard from everyone, it is fantastic!!!! I have done a lot of research on this trip, and have not come across one bad thing about that program. That says a lot, because you always hear about at least one horror story. Anyway, we are soooooooo excited now that it is so close. We are in Texas too- and are looking forward to a big ship finally going out of Galvestion. That will save on the airfare!

I forgot to say- there is no extra cost for using the program. It's included in the price of the cruise...so it feels like free babysitting.

There is no cost for children to participate in the children's program, unless you choose to avail yourself of the babysitting option in the evening. Children recieve a Daily Compass outlining the next day's activities for their age group, just as adults do, that is delivered to the cabin when your cabin steward performs the nightly "turn-down" service. It is an excellent program and your children should be quite happy.
