Just remember it is a very small rink. The impressive thing is how they can do it on a moving ship. Although many are wowed by the "stars" who do a quick change act, I find that I like the support skaters better - they are the ones who do the jumps and so forth.
They typically have a little fake train in the show, in which the skaters place little kids from the audience for a few minutes. I don't know how they select the kids - but if you sit the grandkids close to the the ice and by the steps one or more might be picked. Of course, I am talking about little kids!

You don't get them as soon as you board. They typically hand them out on the second (or third) day, if I recall correctly - depending on the ship. The show is done more than once over the course of the cruise in order to accomodate all the passengers.
( along with the adults ) if we dont get in to see the show. We have heard nothing but great things about it so don't want to miss it.
