I printed my cruise documents and mine said my boarding time was 2pm on the first day of my cruise. Do I have to go right at 2pm? I was planning on boarding earlier in the day and eating lunch at the Windjammer Cafe. I see on the website that the Cafe actually closes at 2 when I will be getting on.
Thanks

No you don't have to wait until 2pm. Although they could enforce it, I have never been on a cruise where they did so. They usually allow boarding to start at least an hour earlier than that, and more often around noon or even 11:30ish.
On embarkation day the Windjammer does not close at 2pm. That is a typical closing time for the rest of the cruise. On embarkation day the Windjammer will stay open pretty much all afternoon - up until the lifeboat drill usually.
Hello. Our last cruise, we were on board by noon. Of course our rooms weren't ready yet. So, we hung out by the pool bar with our luggage, with other people with there luggage, and after a few drinks our rooms were ready. I think they said the rooms would be ready at 1 or 1:30. Just enough time for a drink or two. Hope this helps. Lil' Lori
As a matter of fact, I have been one of those "other people" who had a drink with Lori and her husband, with our luggage, while waiting for the rooms to be released.
You check your luggage in with the porter and you'll see it at your cabin door later in the afternoon. Take your carry-on luggage with you when you board the ship. You won't be able to go to your cabin until 1:00PM. We usually head to the Windjammer for a great lunch.
