I was quoted a price by liberty travel of $1660 for two people in a balcony room, can anybody give me a sense of whether im being ripped off. This is my first cruise and im not really sure of the prices.

well nygirl,

Me and my fiance paid 1850.00 with airfare for 2 for a 5 night cruise to the bahamas. This is on the royal caribbean majesty of the sea. is 1650.00 for What cruise line , does it include air fare, and how long is the trip, also we got a inside cabin. Let me know, ill help ya out. My suggestion is to call a travel agent and book with them , Do not go online i heard bad thing about online bookings Ryan

Thanks so much for the reply, that $1660 did NOT include airfare (with air it came to about 2052). Again this is for a bacony room on the FOUR night Majesty cruise. Oh and this is through a travel agent.

Just trying to figure whether im getting ripped off.

Sounds like a decent price to me! When you see ads like "7 day cruise for $499," remember the fine print usually says that port charges, taxes, airfare, etc. are additional - most people forget to check that fine print! Cruise prices can vary a lot depending on the time of year and how full the ship is - if it's a popular cruise, there won't be as many discounted prices as for a cruise that they are having trouble filling.

Would you say its like a Holiday Inn, Hiltion, Ritz Carlton?

I was on the Majesty in December for the 4 day cruise and had a wonderful time. The food was good to very good and I thought the service and friendliness of the staff was excellent. You can read the details in my review that is posted on cruisereviews.com (See Nancy's page)
