Could someone please give me some advice on the dress code for women for dinner? I've got a few cocktail dresses but no long ones - do I need to buy a couple????

No need to buy new ones. You will see both long and short gowns on formal night and even dressy pant suits. Not an issue.

Does my husband have to wear a tie if he wears a sports coat?? He will, but if he can get away with it he would rather not?

Your husband doesn't HAVE TO wear a tie, but bring a couple anyway. You may be able to tell from your first evening which way your tablemates are leaning....

No man likes to wear ties, but many are glad to not feel underdressed or out of place.

If it is a formal night then a long gown is approriate and looks nice. But on more casual nights you could wear a short dress or a nice shirt and some slacks.

I'm only brining two cocktail dresses for the formal nights. I LOVE to dress up, but am 5 months pregnant and cannot justify buying a gown for this one occassion.
