Hi, new to this site and I'm planning a trip for me and my friend. We want a Nov cruise to Mexico, we can't decide Princess or RC. I've been on RC before and it was nice, but I haven't been on Princess. I'm a little hesitant to try Princess because of some of the reviews I've read and the particular boat I was thinking of was the one that had the accident. So I would appreciate any advice/comments on Diamond Princess vs Vision of Seas. We are in the 25-35 age bracket. We are looking for: (1) good dancing/bars,(2)nice casino,(3)good gym/workout facilities, (4) good food, (5) best size/amenity rooms for price, (6)people around our age. hahhah i know this is a lot of questions, but i would really really appreciate any comments/suggestions. Also, where is the best/safest place to purchase the cruise online? thanks! vivian

I believe Royal Caribbean would fit your needs best based on all the questions you ask - Good casino, age group and many passengers your own age will be on board RC, they have good work-out facilities and great dancing and bar venues. The food I have found to be about the same on both ships.

I agree with Nancy. Stick with the Vision. I was on her last year and we had the very best cuisine out of my 16 cruises. I am on the 10/2 sailing of the Sapphire Princess so I will see if I like the eats any better. Last time we were on Princess in '98 the food was not too good.

Hi Vivian...I agree with Nancy...I just went on this cruise with RCCL in July and it was great...one of the most enjoyable cruises lately. I liked the ship which was the Legend of the Seas. However I have sailed on Princess several times and I remember the Sun Princess had the most hopping nightclub I've ever been to on a ship...it was actually crazy till about 4am....and it was a January sailing...but either one you will have a great time.

I cannot answer this accuartely since my first Princess cruise is October 2005. But I can tell you out of all the cruises we have taken the Vision class has the best views (the dining room is nothing but glass you can still see the ocean even if you are seated in the middle.) the Winjammer and the VCL are awesome, the food is also good. and the activities are plentiful. But the veiws and the shipshape program would be why I would select RCI.

Without question, after reading your wants...Royal Caribbean is the choice to make. Also, I am doing an 11 day Mexico in November on the Mercury. I would look at this, as well if you can get tthe time to go. It does Cabo, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo, Ixtapa and Acapulco.
