I have a dilemma. My wife and I are sailing in May with our two children on the Mariner of the Seas. However, my wife and I usually take a cruise by ourselves in Sept. or Oct. She has booked a cruise on Carnival's Liberty with 2 ports on the iteneary that we have not visited. Here is the dilemma. Freedom of the Seas has a great deal in Sept. to ports we have already visited. What would you recommend.

Nica, many people consider the ship to be the destination. In the case of the Freedom, I'd go with that destination for sure. It'll take you most of the week just to discover all the great places onboard the ship!

Hi Nica, and welcome to cruise-chat.com.

There are many destinations that we've visited multiple times each. We've always found something new to do. So, I wouldn't let that stop you if you want to book Freedom of the Seas.

Enjoy your planning!!!!

I have been on the Freedom of the Seas. She truly is a destination herself. Besides, you can tell everyone you are going to cruise on the biggest cruise ship in the world. At least for now. Lil' Lori

Thank you for your advice. I will talk to my wife and ask her to change our booking. I am very excited about the Mariner of the Seas. Any comments on it? We have been in smaller ships, The Grandeur and the Majesty. The service was great, great meals, but the showers overflowed into the vanity area. This being the only draw back. Our other two cruises were with Carnival. Victory had something left to be desire as far as service and children's program. Glory was better but not quite the same service as RCI.

I agree with everyone else. You can only do about 3 different 7 day cruises and the rest are port you will have visited before. It is not easy to sail only in the Caribbean and not repeat. BUT, there always seems to be something new to do or try. We have been to Cozumel 3 times and still have not had a problem finding ecursions we are interested in to go on.

We like seeing different ships and you should experience the Freedom if you can while it is still "new"

Thank you Jim C.
Could not help but notice that you will be boarding the Mariner the day we disembark. I can already tell you that we will be wishing we could join you for another week of cruising.

It's a done deal. Freedom of the Seas for Sept. 23. Thank you for helping to make this decision an easy one. Hope not to regret it.
