Inside or oceanview room?

For about the same price because of a coupon I can either get a smaller outside room or a larger inside cabin, which do you think is better?

i would go for the outside cabin because of the window/porthole if its about the same price.your not in your room much just to shower and sleep.which ship are you considering?we are going on the sov.of the seas nov.7 we have inside cabins because they are cheaper in price.

Depends on whether you are claustrophobic or not, or if you feel the need to see what the weather is like outside, or if it's light or dark out. If you are the type to spend as little time as possible in your cabin, and are always out and "doing," you may do just as well with an inside cabin. Personally, I like to see outside, and would be willing to sacrifice a little space to have that window!

You did not mention which ship you are considering!

I am going to guess that it is the Empress of the Seas because in the brochures, that ship is the only one that ever uses the phrase "Smaller Stateroom" in its actual listing of the categories of staterooms.

If this is the case, get a brochure and look at where these Smaller Staterooms are: they are forward on the ship where the outside walls follow the curve of the ship.

Depending on where your inside stateroom might be, you may be just down the hall from a foyer/elevator area where there is lots of glass for when you are wondering what the day's weather is.
