Reviews are posted soon after being submitted. I'd say that you are correct, people just aren't writing them.

As a group we really need to encourage our forum members to write reviews upon returning from their cruises. Too many times, the only time taken in this regard is to call attention to negative experiences, when the numbers of cruisers clearly show there are many more positive experiences. Its hard to imagine, but JUST Carnival and Royal Caribbean alone serve approximately 100,000 passengers per week! It takes many positive experiences (and deals of course, too) to sustain those kind of numbers! Let's share em!

It is an unfortunate human reaction to only want to say something if it is bad. And we post those reviews too, not just the ones that say the cruise was great. It personally irks me when I see a review which trashes an entire cruise. You want to ask the person "So nothing went right? Nothing at all?" As we often see with "drive-by" posters, the bad reviews are written by people who have never been here before, and after they tie their reviews to a brick and toss them through our front window we never see them again. They typically hit every cruise website they can in order to rant.

Now I am not saying that bad cruises don't happen. But if a review is posted by a regular forum member, it certainly adds credence to it. As do good reviews!

I write a review for every cruise I take and I encourage every one of you "regulars" out there to do the same.
