How much do these usually cost, or is stuff like snorkeling and swimming with the dolphins free? I'm naive to this cruise thing

Excursions will cost you something...Go on the Royal Caribbean website and check out the Shore Excursions link, you can enter your ship and you comfirmation number and you will get a list of the trips for your cruise. Prices vary, swimming with the dolphins is not cheap. We have done it twice it is a great experience. As far as on board, there is no money that changes hands during the cruise, except for tips at the end of the cruise and you can put that on your SeaPass card also. Your SeaPass card is your credit card for the cruise, you link it to your credit card at the start of the trip and then use that for anything you buy on board, drinks, items in gift shop, and excursions bought on board. This way you will continue to buy drinks etc and not realize how much you have spent so keep track or you will end up with a big bill and the end of your trip. You will need cash for anything you buy off the ship in port. Depending on the port you can use you regular credit card to decrease the amount of cash you have on hand. We usually end up with most of our cash when we return but a nice credit card bill! Hope this helps.

Seems like they start at about $80 and go upwards of $300 for a whole day as a dolphin trainer.
