new to everything (cruising,family way, wedding)

hi there as i have said above am new to everything am cruising on explorer in nov 07.
firstly we will have 4 month baby by then any tips for travel with young child.
also i will be getting married in antigua on a beach any experiences? what to wear (bride) i will be in kilt. this will be the first of many questions i think

Have you confirmed with RCL that it's o.k. to take a four-month-old?
Most lines I'm familiar with don't allow children under six months.

yes i have confirmed that a 4 month old is allowed on the cruise not cheap though same price as an 11 year old and cant use any of the pools, baby sitting service or clubs.

Do you have any others going along that can help care for the child? If not, your first cruise will definitely be one to remember.

We took our son on his first cruise when he was 20 months old. Looking back, it was not a lot of fun for any of us. You've got the diaper thing going, the naps, the crying for no apparent reason, the need for a stroller, etc. My wife was a wreck by the end of the cruise and I wasn't much better.

I'd really recommend holding off on the cruise with a 4-month old. But that is me.

IF you are the type of parent that take the baby everywhere. The baby is used to traveling, not having quiet, regular nap and bed times, it might be ok.

When I had my daughter I was a single mom and she went everywhere with me. She could nap in the middle of the table at Denny's. I traveled with her, and she was ok.

My son would of been trouble though. He needed medication every 6 hours, his regular naps right on time, and got fussy in unfamiliar surroundings or with long car rides.

Traveling with kids is so much about the personality of the kid. Even a good baby becomes difficult if you upset his routine.
