You're not allow to bring alcohol aboard. You can order it for your stateroom prior to boarding through GIFT & GEAR if you wish. I've heard of some people putting a bottle or two in their luggage, but it could be confiscated. It's just not worth chancing in my opinion.
That's pretty strict....some cruise lines allow you to bring a bottle on board if you are celebrating a special occaision and charge a corkage fee. I feel sorry for someone who wants to enjoy a special wine that is not on the RCI list but if that's the rule then fair enough.
Royal Caribbean has the strictest policies of the major cruise lines. I just updated our FAQ section with the policies of several lines. No wonder there's confusion out there.
As a diamond plus member, I have a choice of amenities which includes a bottle of wine. They don't give me much of a choice though. On my next cruise I'll get two bottles because it will be my 50th cruise. Too mad I can't get some of the good stuff. If you order wine for your stateroom, you can have it brought to your table and there is no corkage fee. They ask you if you want it delivered to your stateroom or your table when you order. If you're in a grand suite or above, you can have the concierge arrange for wine to be delivered to your suite. At least the last time I was in a suite that could be done.
