Majesty vs. Sovereign

I will be going on a cruise next year to the Bahamas. I am currently booked on the Majesty of the Seas, but wondering if I should change to the Sovereign of the Seas since they have had their recent refurb. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Christie,
Welcome to cruise-chat. I have heard really good things about the "new and improved" Sovereign. So, if price and availability were not issues - I would probably consider making the switch.

Majesty or Sovereign
Hi,
I just changed from the Majesty to the Sovereign for my first cruise on November 7.
I watched the renovation of the Sovereign
and thought "Why not"

Just got off the Soveriegn on June 10th. Very impressive. We sailed on her last October 2004 (before the refurb) and she looks like a brand new ship. They have added a Johnny Rockets, Ben and Jerry's, and a new coffee shop. (there is a surcharge for these stops) I think the switch would be a good move. Have fun!!!

I'm also going on the Sovereign on the 7th of November. While I don't expect her to be completely new looking I'm thinking it will be neat to see the renos in person.

Just got off of Majesty and it is my understanding that they are refurbishing it in May 06.

Thanks for the refurb info. However, I have already changed my reservations to sail on the Sovereign. We are going in April, so the Majesty will not be fully refurbished by then anyway.
