alaska & age.

I am 18, and going on vacation with a friend of mine, and my father. We are looking to book a cruise to alaska since RCI has many this time of year. Does anyone know how the social scene for people my age is? We are not drinkers, but we ARE dancers. Any input is much appreciated!

Can't help you much about a cruise to Alaska...we flew there last year and drove around for 2 weeks...loved it. However, I do know the ships have great dance floors...not sure about the average age of a cruiser to Alaska though???

There will be a number of people your age on an Alaska sailing with RCI (particualraly if you are sailing in high season during summer break).

You should have a good mix of ages on the ship. When we took the cruise to Alaska in July 2005, we had families, families with teens, early 20s, 20 somethings, and older. I always had the impression that the Alaskan trip was more a geriatric cruise; clearly it was not. There will be plenty of youthful cruisers during the summer! Enjoy! Make sure you book a balcony cabin; you will appreciate the balcony and will be glad you paid a little more for the trip. It is truly worth it!
