Enchantment advise

Can't believe one month till our cruise. It is 12 days leaving from Baltimore. So I have not cruised for 10 years and wondered if any one had some tips for that ship and what to bring for a long cruise.

If Captain Rob is aboard it'll be fun. He is funny and very engaging. Sort of like Johnny Carson in his delivery.

I like that class of ships since they have a sense of intimacy as compared to the newer and larger RCI ships.

I was on the Enchantment in 2009, and loved it! She had a ship version of an "Extreme Makeover" I think in 2005? Very nice ship, and loved the bridges above the pool deck. The staff at the time was great, I'm not sure if they changed since then. Captain Espen Been was our captain at the time (I think from Norway?), and our cruise director's name was Paul, and was American. Sorry, I don't remember his last name.

Any questions about the ship, just ask, and I'll see if I can answer them. Cruising is not quite what it was 10 years ago, but still a great time! As stated in the FAQ's, dress is something that has changed significantly. On formal nights, you will probably see a wide variety of attire, from tuxes and gowns, to nice suits / dresses. Me personally, for a formal night, I wore dress slacks, button down shirt and tie, and sport coat. No tux, and technically not a suit, as the slacks and sport coat did not match in color. (Gray slacks and black sport coat).

Never been on that ship..So I can not help with any advice on what ship is like, But sure you will have a blast..Would LOVE to go on cruise that long..I am SO JEALOUS!!!

I agree with MC with dress code with dinner..Husband brought and wore exactly what MC suggested. I brought 1 suit (skirt with dressy top and jacket..NEVER wore it). Also brought one "slip on" dress (wore that one) with a nice button up dressy "sweater"..I wore that once.. Rest of time (when I felt like "dressing up") I wore skorts..Skirts with shorts underneath.

DO NOT forget dress shoes (that match outfit(s)), I brought 3 and only used one pair. Also do not forget dress socks and plain white undershirts..My husband forgot both..We went on Freedom of the Seas..They did not sell plain white tshirts, they did sell socks..

One thing I wish I did was try not to overpack before you leave..You may purchase items onboard or at stops..I ended up LOVING glasses that a drink came in (was real glass) Believe drink was called Lovie Dovie..Drink was great..Not sure if they offer drink/glass on every cruise..I did not have enough room in luggage for more glasses
