Well...daughters b-day cruise had to get cancel (Navigator on April 1st) due to work related issues and the fact the prices are sky high during this time of year for both cruise and air. Needless to say I was a little bummed out even though our Oasis cruise is still on track for this summer. What does my wife do? She went ahead and booked us (daughter & myself) for a Majesty 3 day cruise for the end of this month. I'll take it! Prices were very affordable for both the cruise & air. Needless to say we are looking forward to it in only a few weeks. Only concerns are the weather in January for the Bahamas and being able to get off the ship early to catch our flight home. We will do the early morning debarkation….does anyone know what time that would be??? 7:00 -8:00am? I can’t remember from previous trips.
Oh and btw the way to my fellow cruise-chat friends…fyi…we are flying into Miami the Thursday before the cruise leaves….some of you may remember the panic attack I had last summer with this exact same cruise and arriving early afternoon the day of the cruise…lol…I learned my lesson!

Sorry 417Rogers to hear that you need to cancel out your trip..We are in a similiar situation that we can only travel during school break times as the wife works at a local college..February and April are crazy times to be traveling for sooooo many reasons, including the increased costs..Glad to hear that you are still getting a break and soon ! We have now started to travel at least one and sometimes two days prior to our cruise because, we like you, are in the snow belts and travle is tricky..Enjoy your cruise. I'm sure your will get a quick answer on your debarkation.

I hear ya....thanks goodness for MLK Day as my daughter will only miss one day of school. This new trip is costing about 1/3 of what the other one would have.

If I'm remembering correctly, you dock back in Miami around 7:00 am, with self debarkation beginning around 7:30. The reason I know this is because I was on the Majesty back in 2007. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Majesty, but it will probably seem small compared to when you go the Oasis.
2007 - Majesty of the Seas (Bahamas)
2009 - Enchantment of the Seas (Western Caribbean)
2010 - Freedom of the Seas (Western Caribbean)
2013 - Golden Princess (Alaska, roundtrip from Seattle)
