Explorer of the Seas with a 20 month old

Hi everyone,

My Husband and I are experienced cruisers and have decided to take our baby on her first cruise in December 2011. At the time of sailing she will be 20 months. Does anybody have any experience with toddlers on the Explorer of the seas (or same class ship)? I have read different reviews with things you can or can't do with a toddler and they seem to be in conflict. I have read that you can bring an inflatable pool for kids and place on the deck beside your chair because un-potty trained kids are not allowed in the pool and I have also heard that inflatable pools are not allowed. Has anyone used the Babies 2 go packages that are for purchase for diapers/wipes etc? What about the Royal Tots program?
I know we have a while until our cruise in December but I want to make sure I have all the information and try to plan ahead for difficulties we may encounter.

Any advice anyone has to offer will be appreciated

I have not heard of bringing a pool on board, so I'd give Royal or your travel agent a call. On some ships there is a wading area for toddlers to splash around, but they do have to be potty trained. I'm sure there are some on this board that have traveled with infants that can be of more help than I. However, I did want to welcome you to CruiseReviews and wish you a marvelous cruise!
