just back off the oasis

What an amazing ship credit too rccl.
The best parts for me were central park. Park cafe with there beef sandwich smothered in gravy.
Adventure ocean for my little son he loved it.
The food was as much the same has previous cruises good selection.
Hairspray and the aquatic shows were amazing.
I could sing praises about the ship all day.
The only problem i had was the cruise director, what a load of garbage could not tell you her name as you never seen her.
We was looking forward to seeing richard spacey again but it never happened.
The 70s night was at 23:30 in the evening. When you have a toddler on board our late night are long gone.
I know its hard cater for everyone but on every cruise ive been on, theres never been an issue.
Ive suggested to rccl in an email to ditch the cd.

What exactly is your complaint against the CD?

Dave 09-18-2011 02:53 PM

The CD is that important to you?

Cruise Directors are managers first, and celebrities second. This is more so on ships like Oasis where there is so much going on. I personally do not care if I see the CD as long as they have done a good job managing the entertainment, daily schedule, and so forth.

I am happy to hear you liked Oasis. Both Oasis and Allure are amazing cruise ships, and destinations unto their own.

I'm with you Dave, The less I see or hear from the Cruise Director the better...There has been some that have really intruded into the cruise experience...."Look at me, I'm important".....Just make sure things are running smoothly.....

Opps did I go to far?

Bob,

Indeed, some CDs are annoying with their need to be worshiped by the passengers. Oops!

I'd have to agree with what is being said about the cruise directors in general but also feel that they do serve many times in a very visible position on the ship and have much to do with the PR and so goes the comments of this one cruiser.

Peter obviously you have not got a clue try typing in richard spacey in google then see how many people have a following. So your remark about this 1 cruiser is totally far from the truth.
Like i said before everyone has there own little likes and dislikes about cruising.
Thats what makes it a excellent vacation.

Chris,

Peter was actually endorsing what you said and not slamming you.
